3rd Annual Paul Simon “Celebration of Life” Dinner & Auction - November 29, 2007
The planning of the 2007 “Celebration of Life” dinner and auction is underway. The event is still scheduled for Paul’s birthday on Thursday, November 29, 2007 in Troy, Illinois. The theme for this year’s dinner will focus on Paul’s career as a prolific writer/author. Our Guest of Honor is Ms. Patty Dirge-Simon. Our Special Guest for the evening has not yet been determined. This year’s “Celebration of Life” also holds special meaning as the event will serve as the platform for the Reunion of the 1972 Journalism Class of Sangamon State University. This is the first graduating class of the journalism program taught by Paul Simon. We are also planning to host a “unique” auction highlighting books written and autographed by collogues and friends of Paul Simon. If you have or know of any individual who might have item(s) of interest for the auction, please feel free to contact them on our behalf or forward us the information and we will contact them directly.
